The mission of the Antiquatis Institute concentrates on getting the spiritual and ethical evolution of mankind back on track, to help him grow to become a better person and build a better society. It does this with a 7-fold approach, called the Sanctuary Project:

Archive existing material on philosophy, spirituality, theology and metaphysics.

 

Prior to setting out on any journey, it is best to know where you are starting from and how you got there. There is an enormous wealth of information available on religious histories and spiritual journeys; how people met and interacted with the higher principles of the Universe and their comprehension of the Godhead.

 

Make that material available through a library and topic mapped system.

 

Finding what you need to know is as important as having that information available. Search engines are OK, but they lack "scope"--if you type in "Mercury," you can end up with information on planets, cars and elements. The Institute is developing an indexing system to provide a detailed map of topics and concepts in the archived information that is "scoped", so you can get right to what you are looking for, without the headache of sorting through pages of unrelated topics.

 

Research new ideas into science, religion and consciousness

 

Man has come a long way in a short time, dabbling in all sorts of new approaches to understanding the Universe in which we live--and who runs it! When people attempt to comprehend the incomprehensible, the result is new information and techniques; the path they used to bring that material into consciousness. That knowledge is just as important and perhaps more applicable, than the archived information of old as it addresses the modern symbols and motifs that others can relate to.

 

Publish in print and multimedia the results of that research

 

Ideas that are shared will grow into bigger ideas and understandings. The Institute has the necessary tools for publication in different formats (print, ezines, video) that members can use to get their ideas out.

 

Provide formal and information education through courses, schools and workshops.

 

An alternate approach to print and audiovisual media is real life presentation of what was known and what is being researched. Classrooms and formal education provides those tools from the short workshop to weeks-long, detailed courses.

 

Provide hands-on, spiritual experience through retreats, prayer, and meditation.

 

There are times when the mind gets too "noisy" to be able to think new thoughts, as it is too worried about surviving the present. The Institute will sponsor various techniques to provide an opportunity to quiet the mind so deeper, more subtle thoughts can be heard.

 

Provide a monastery for those who become dedicated to the search for spirituality.

 

There are people who have such a strong, spiritual calling that they desire to devote their life to it. But existing theological systems force one into a specific mold defined by a specific faith; the Institute supports a new kind of monastery, one where there are general principles of spiritual growth, regardless of your religious background--Catholic, Christian, Buddhist, Lakota, Aboriginal, Shinto, or anything else.
